Quanada's Domestic Violence Program
The Domestic Violence Program is available for anyone who has experienced abuse in his or her relationship. Services include all of Quanadas regular services. You do NOT have to stay at the shelter to use counseling or other services.
All services are free and confidential.
Our advocates can help with an Order of Protection. An Order of Protection is a court order which forbids the abuser from inflicting further violence. It can also address issues of child custody, possessions and property, counseling and substance abuse.
An advocate will:
1. Assess your safety
2. Give support and information
3. Offer alternatives
4. Explain the Illinois Domestic Violence Act
5. Help with orders of protection
6. Help with victim compensation
