Quanada's Children's Domestic Violence Program

The Children’s Program offers counseling, shelter, and follow-up. Quanada recognizes children as victims of domestic violence and sexual assault, and we advocate on their behalf with law enforcement, schools, social service agencies and/or counselors. All services are free and confidential.

If you are being abused or seeing someone abused, REMEMBER:
1. It is not your fault.
2. Tell anyone you can trust: a teacher, a relative or a friend’s parent.
3. Call 9-1-1 for the police.
4. Find a safe place to run in your house or go to a neighbor’s house.

To report a suspected child abuse case call the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services Hotline at 1-800-252-2873 or 1-800-25-ABUSE.

Parenting classes are available to assist parents in understanding the impact of violence on their children.
